Adams Morgan Day in Washington, DC
Every second Sunday in September is enthusiastically celebrated as the annual neighborhood festival in Washington, DC which is also known as Adams Morgan Day. The live music and the delicious food from across the world is the pinnacle of this festival.
One can enjoy the multi colored vendors, sidewalk cafe, and cultural events including dances. It is a street festival that hosts several events, and the primary aim of the festival is to generate harmony and celebrate diversity and culture. In the live music, regional and talented locals are featured. The dance activities include demonstrations of traditional dance forms ranging from Mexican to African to Salsa dance performances. Craft and Art galleries are also set up to showcase the miscellaneous works of different artists. Along with the Art Galleries, there are "community booths" that display the works of local agencies and organizations.
A special Kid's Fair is also featured in the Adams Morgan Day that organizes games, and interactive sessions for kids. The eye catching Lion Dance can also be enjoyed during the festival. "Arts on Belmont," is a society where all the original artists display their works. Apart from Art Gallery and games they specialize in ethnic cuisine and delicious food as well. The Adams Morgan community is culturally very diverse therefore one can see a variety of events, ranging from art galleries to book stores to night clubs and restaurants etc under one roof.
