Known across the nation as the largest and most important family event in the United States, approximately half a million people attend the annual Black Family Reunion Celebration at the
National Mall. Spanning over two days, you can enjoy special themed pavilions such as the Children's Pavilion, Health, Sports & Fitness, Education, Economic Empowerment, Day Spa, Women's Health Spa, Fathers, Sons & Brothers, the National Council of Negro Women's Pavilions and more. These creative and innovative pavilions are in celebration of everlasting strengths and values of the African American family. Slated for September 6 and 7th, this year, the 23rd Annual Black Family Reunion Celebrations will take place from 12 p.m. till 8 p.m. at the
National Mall in Washington, DC.
Enjoy foot tapping, live music and ethnic foods at the celebration held over a fun-filled weekend. Friday marks the start of the celebrations with a VIP Gala Recognition Ceremony and Reception. The celebrations continue into the next day which features the Opening Ecumenical Prayer Breakfast, and has themed pavilions open all day. Discover and indulge in the amazing crafts and handicraft work from varied cultures around the world at an International Marketplace. Saturday ends with an engaging R&B Concert in the
National Mall. Sunday features the closing of the event with a Gospel concert and the pavilions also stay open all day. Entry to the event is free of cost, so lose yourself in all these interesting activities and come together to celebrate culture and togetherness at this commendable celebration.
