Organized by the American Veterans Center, the Memorial Parade at DC is a recent Phenomenon .It was reinstated to the city after a long time by the former Mayor Anthony A. Williams. Its success and popularity can be judged by the thronging crowds that come to pay their allegiance every year. It commemorates the war veterans' right from the time of the American Revolution to the present conflict in Iraq. The streets gets filled with soldiers, youth organizations, bands, floats, balloons and people dancing and waving the flags to honor the distinguished Veterans.
