Dulles International is the major international airport servicing the greater Washington D.C C. area. The airport opened in 1962. The airport is named for John Foster Dulles who was Secretary of State under President Dwight D. Eisenhower during the 1950s.
The airport has its own International Arrivals Building and provides Federal Customs and Border Protection, Agriculture and Immigration Service. Other terminals serve domestic flights and international departures.
Parking is available onsite and there is easy car access to Route I-66 and the Capitol Beltway.
While you wait for your flight, or upon arrival, you can enjoy the many independent shops and concessions available at the airport. Many national and international retail shops operate at the airport. The airport also features wireless internet so that you can work or browse the internet while waiting in the terminals.
There are different lounges and services available for your use during your time at Dulles. For example, there is a USO Lounge for military members and their families. There is also a Business Service Center that provides foreign currency exchange, fax, copy and other services.
