National Cherry Blossom Festival
Spend five days celebrating the National Cherry Blossom Festival in the nation's capital, Washington, DC. You'll enjoy a tour of famous memorials, historic Georgetown sights, and a cruise on the Potomac River!
DAY 1 –
You'll head to the Smithsonian Institution's Udvar-Hazy Visitor Center after arriving at Dulles Airport. Afterwards, you'll head over the Marriott Hotel to check in and enjoy a welcome dinner.
DAY 2 –
After breakfast, a trip to Mount Vernon offers a tour and lunch at the inn. You'll then head over to the National Archives, and enjoy a tour of Capitol Hill. Dinner will be in Georgetown. You'll then visit the Iwo Jima Memorial and FDR Memorial to pay respects to those who fought in World War II.
DAY 3 –
Your seating at the National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade is reserved. After the parade, go to the Smithsonian Institute where you can learn about American History. Dinner in the evening will be at a restaurant downtown. You'll end your day with a visit to both the Jefferson Memorial and the Kennedy Canter Memorial.
DAY 4 –
You'll be taking a tour of the Arlington National Cemetery after breakfast. The afternoon will include a photo opportunity at the White House as well as trips to the Newseum, The National World War II Memorial, and the Air Force Museum.
DAY 5 –
Today involves visits to several memorials: The Korean War Veterans Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial, and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. You'll then take a lunch cruise on the Potomac River aboard the Odyssey III Cruise Ship. After the cruise, you'll be checking out of your hotel and preparing to return home.
